Metallica
The Black Album
was the first to show the "New" Metallica. It recieved massive airplay and won many awards. Songs like
Enter Sandman, The Unforgiven
, and
Nothing Else Matters
went on to become Metallica classics. With the exception of a couple of songs, the thrash that Metallica was famous for is gone. This new direction brings bottom-heavy grooves and wah-wah pedaled solos in to the mix that is a mainstay still today. This cd is full of good songs but was definitely over-produced and over-played.
