Chroming Rose

Insight

After their last intensely heavy release, New World, Chroming Rose made a dramatic shift with Insight. It's a well written album, and song for song, I think it's actually got more good songs than their last one. Unfortunately this one may have gone a little too light for most of their fans. Going as far as to cover the Depeche Mode song I Feel You, this album has a decidedly alternative edge, but oddly, it grew on me. It has a unique sound and a good groove and the songs are really catchy. It's sort of an odd mix of rock and 80's pop. So while I will be the first to admit it's not for everyone, I won't shy away from saying that I like it either. Try it with an open mind. --Scott
