Rough Cutt

Rough Cutt

While Rought Cutt had some catchy melodies, the strength of this band was in Shortino's unique voice. Rough Cutt records were cliched, hit or miss and not nearly at the level of some of the other bands that were hitting paydirt in the early eighties. But oh, Shortino's pipes were golden. They were probably held back the the label's insistance they release the terribly dodgy 'Piece Of My Heart' as a single and video, when some of their original material was much stronger. --johnk5150
