Returning to claim their throne as the undisputed kings of heavy melodic rock, PC69 continues to just play on a totally different level than other bands of the genre. Their combination of catchy songs, precision execution and pitch perfect production still astounds me. This one took a little longer to release due to Koffler’s rare wrist condition, but you can’t hear anything wrong when he plays. His impressive riffs flow over the thundering rhythm section as effortlessly as Readman’s soaring vocals. And all of it taken to another level by Ward’s polishing production. Each song has the patented PC69 sound and their cover of My Sharona alone is worth the price of the cd. --
