Seven cd cover

Night Ranger

Seven

This was one of 'those' records for me. You know the one you buy on band name alone? When I bought Seven, I was angry. Where was the stadium rock I was used to getting from Night Ranger? I put the record down for a couple of years and came back to it. There's a reason Jack Blades is so in demand as a writer. It doesn't matter the style or genre, he's just a great songwriter. While this set sounds nothing like the Night Ranger we know, songs like 'Soul Survivor' and 'Don't Ask Me Why' are great songs regardless of who's performing them. Fans of Watson and Gillis will be happy as the guitars are featured right up front. --johnk5150
