Warrant
Ultraphobic
In 1995, when most other metal bands had gone into hiding, Warrant was still working. Their last cd had been ignored, their contract wasn't renewed and they had to sign with a smaller label, but they were still here. They got Beau Hill to produce again, but the times definitely show their influence on this cd. The songs are much darker, but most of them are really well written. Unfortunately, the sound had changed though. The guitars had been tuned down and they weren't as tight. The distortion was fuzzier and it had a very alternative sound. The Warrant critics didn’t buy it and the Warrant fans didn’t want it. But if you listen really close, you can still hear some Warrant in there. --
