Load
Most every band that has stayed together for any length of time has recorded an album that Blows. This is Metallica's.
Load
is a contradiction to any of the previously recorded Metallica albums. No intricate solos! No punch! Very little agression! No originality. The boys even try a little country with
Mama Said
. The only bright spots to me were
Bleeding Me
and
King Nothing
. The song
Ain't my Bitch
would have been a bright spot had Kirk not borrowed the solo from a Skynrd tune. Unfortunately for this album, the name says it all!
