Transistor
Transistor has a lot of rough spots, but it's still a huge step up from the misguided Firefly. And in between those rough spots is the occasional gem. Over all, the songwriting is still there, but there is a dangerous element in the production. Apparently someone is afraid if they just make a good, cleanly produced metal cd, that they will be tagged as outdated, so they throw in all of these little tricks and gimmicks to give it "that 90's feel." I hate that 90's feel, but underneath it all they are still a good band with some good songs.
